How you feel about yourself is at the heart of everything you do. It affects your decisions, the people you choose to spend time with, the jobs and partners you feel you deserve. It is the master of your actions. The Thrive Programme® can help you to feel much happier, positive and confident in yourself!
My offices are based in Rickmansworth and Aylesbury, but also welcome enquiries from people in Uxbridge, Ruislip and Pinner. Sessions are also available via Skype and Zoom.
What is self esteem?
Your self esteem involves a set of beliefs, positive or negative, about yourself and your worth. It's not real and doesn't exist outside of your head! When you have poor self esteem and lack self belief, you will often look for evidence to maintain that negative view of yourself, often disregarding evidence to the contrary. By doing so, you can end up with a distorted, limited and often harsh opinion of yourself and what you are capable of.
Self-confidence results from your belief in YOU! From your belief in your ability to do or achieve something, whether in a social situation, a relationship, at work or generally in life. Having low self-confidence can be extremely limiting, affecting our ability to live the life we deserve.
Where does our low self confidence or self esteem come from?
The short answer is....from ourselves! Having self confidence, or the lack of it, is NOT something we are born with. It is something that is created by the way that we think about ourselves and process our experiences in life. Very often, our levels of self belief and self esteem do not have any bearing on reality. In fact, most people who consult with me for lack of confidence are very capable people, with lots of skills and attributes - but they just don't recognise that in themselves.
Self belief is crucial in life - anxiety is created when you don't believe you have the skills and abilities to cope with a situation. We can spend lots of time inside our own heads mentally rehearsing how uncomfortable or nerve wracking a future situation may be.... or likewise spend hours going over a past situation and beating yourself up about it. Both of these do very harmful things to our self esteem!

What is The Thrive Programme?
It is an easy-to-follow yet extremely effective psychological training programme to overcome mental health problems and learn to thrive. You will learn how to significantly improve your thoughts, emotions and beliefs so you can feel back in control and symptom-free.
You will develop robust mental health, high, stable self-esteem and self-confidence and be able to make the most of life whilst knowing you can cope when it gets tough.
How does it work?
Over 6 weekly, one-to-one sessions, I will teach how all you need in order to reach your goals. The sessions can be done either in person in my offices or via video conferencing such as Skype or Zoom.
